- Brightpoint makes distribution deal with i-mate
Brightpoint has signed on to be mobile software developer i-mate's distributor and channel developer in several key European markets. "I-mate has an existing presence in the U.K. and Italy where it has sales operations in place, and the deal with Brightpoint means that the whole of Western Europe is now covered both in terms of sales and customer support," according to i-mate. - Thermo Fisher seeks approval of CVE-unit sale
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has sought approval from the Federal Trade Commission to sell off one of its divisions, as it was instructed to do as part of Thermo Electron Corp.'s acquisition of Fisher Scientific International Inc. The company is proposing the sale of its centrifugal vacuum evaporators unit to two private equity firms. BusinessWeek
