LONDON -- BT Group PLC saw its shares slide 20% Friday after it issued a surprise profit warning caused by rising costs at its global services unit and said the head of that unit has resigned.The U.K. telecommunications company said the unit had been hit by the slower-than-expected delivery of efficiency savings and a continued decline in higher margin U.K. business. LONDON -- BT Group PLC Thursday said second-quarter net profit rose 18% and said that it plans to cut its global workforce by about 10,000 this financial year, largely in the U.K.The company also reiterated that it expects revenue to grow for the full-year, but because of the reduction in profitability in BT Global Services, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, are likely to show a small decline in the current financial year.
