AT&T’s U-verse TV will add two of cable’s highest-rated women’s networks in a carriage deal with Lifetime Entertainment Services, and the telco is also swinging for the duffer demographic in a deal with the 2007 Masters Tournament that covers online, mobile and TV distribution.
U-verse TV will carry Lifetime Television, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women. Financial terms of the deal with Lifetime -- a joint venture of Hearst and Disney -- were not disclosed.
Under AT&T’s agreement with Augusta National for the Masters, the telco will provide tournament previews, daily highlights, live tournament and practice-range coverage, player interviews and other content through its AT&T blue room broadband video site and AT&T Broadband TV, as well as the video-on-demand services of U-verse TV and Homezone. Clips will also be viewable through AT&T’s Cingular Wireless service.
The 2007 Masters Tournament runs April 2-8. The Masters programming will be available to AT&T customers at no additional charge, and select content will be available for 60 days following the conclusion of the tournament. Terms of AT&T’s deal with the Masters weren’t disclosed.
