    Motorola will cut 4,000 more jobs by the end of the year, on top of the 3,500 layoffs it announced earlier. The move comes as the company works to reduce costs and return to profitability, but one analyst asserts that if Motorola hopes to achieve double-digit profit margins, it needs exciting new products.   • Apple to stream YouTube to TVs
    Apple said Wednesday that starting in June its Apple TV device would be able to wirelessly stream videos directly from YouTube onto customers' TVs. With the free software upgrade, YouTube members will be able to log on to the Web portal from their televisions. Apple also addressed some of the early criticisms of Apple TV by offering a new model today that quadruples the storage capacity. Boston Herald/Associated Press (5/31)
  • Searching the Web, one phone call at a time
    Google and Microsoft both offer free telephone-based services that supply search results via a toll-free number. Both take advantage of voice recognition technology to receive search queries. Google offers geo-targeted local search results via voice or text. Microsoft offers a broader suite of content, including news, sports and stock quotes.
