Steelmakers foresee threat from escalating prices
Steelmakers are taking steps to offset repercussions of unrelenting increases in the price of steel as construction grows globally. Steel prices have increased 40% to 50% since December and experts say they have not yet peaked. Eventually, steelmakers worry price will affect demand and lead to the purchase of more alternatives to steel.
