Clearwire expects investment deal to close by year-end

Clearwire told an Internet news site that it remained on track to close its $3.2 billion investment deal with Sprint Nextel by year-end. With the deal's approval, Clearwire expects to begin rolling out mobile WiMAX services in Portland, Ore., in the fourth quarter, possibly followed by Atlanta; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Las Vegas.
